A wonderful person out there in cyber-space whose name shall remain anonymous asked me if I could write a bit about losing weight. So here goes…
Ahhhh, the “W” word! The subject for this Question and Answer blog is weight loss. Or just ‘weight’ if that suits you. Already you can tell a lot by how you feel about those two words.
There is so much to say on this subject. Oh! Really it is such a deep and multi-faceted question which will bring out a lot of awesome insight from me. Thanks a ton for this wonderful question. So I am thankful that you asked me it. There are two main points I would like to address when considering the idea of weightloss, namely Self-Worth and Well-Being.
Why Do You Want To Lose Weight?”
The Self-Worth point asks you this: “why do you want to lose weight?” YOU HAVE TO BE VERY HONEST HERE. Many people want things like “being pretty”, “being buff”, “having a corvette”, “having a sexy chick”, “having a giant fancy house” out of an inherent feeling of unworthiness for what they really want. They want these things to — not feel like a loser. To put it bluntly
Because if they understood the truth, they would rather say “I will stay overweight, and have a fine girlfriend, because I CHOOSE that reality.” People seem to believe that if they were just DIFFERENT then they could get what they really want. The Universe does not necessitate that. The Universe merely reflects back to you whatever you put out. If you put out, “I want a charming handsome man to love me.” That is what you get. If you put out, “I want a charming handsome man to love me but I feel like a loser and no one will love this fat ass.” Then what you get is either you figure out how to NOT be overweight anymore OR you don’t get a charming handsome man OR somehow the Universe slips that man in there for you but you resist him and screw everything up because you cannot receive what you want because you don’t believe you deserve it.
The solution to this is to somehow get yourself to realize that you are wonderful just as you are.
Why Aren’t You A Healthy And Beautiful Weight Right Now?
The Well-Being angle to the question asks you this: “why aren’t you a healthy and beautiful weight right now?” See, while the first question pointed at the potential that you really don’t love yourself, and thus don’t think you deserve what it is you really want (to be happy and to have the things you love being who you are right now… fat… skinny… nerdy… stupid… it could be anything really…) this point, the Well-Being point asks you what are you believing that let this situation occur and prevented the desired situation? So many women believe that staying beautiful is hard, it boggles the mind. It is actually as simple as believing that staying beautiful is natural and requires only that you be you.
Are You Ready To Change What You Believe About Weight?
If you want to lose weight, change what you believe about weight. CHOOSE to BE in your being a person who balanced weight comes natural too. Do not TRY and DO what you think you have to do to be healthy. TRYING and DOING may work for some time, but eventually the effort of doing something that goes against what you REALLY believe wears on you, you let it go and get overweight again. Or you get tired of having to DO all of these things just to stay a certain shape. Because trying is actually resistance. Life is naturally effortless. Trying does not feel good.
The great irony in this is that as you believe that you are NATURALLY beautiful, and possibly even take it a little further and advance the belief even deeper to: “I AM beautiful right now, and my body and soul are doing precisely what makes me most beautiful RIGHT NOW. I have always been beautiful, and now I am following my natural feel-good, and look I AM beautiful.” As you believe those things you will find you probably change habits naturally. But it is effortless.
Forget everything you think you know about why you are overweight. You are overweight because you accept it as a possible reality, or even a likely reality. All your life is a reflection of who you believe you ARE.
All the Best to You All!!
